Many things come together in this run. I wanted to go beyond 7K, so I plotted a run around the lake. Completing it and running 8K is a milestone. Even more because of the geographical location than my performance. Then, after 6.5K I started to feel the inside of my feet, bringing home the remark of my physiotherapist that I might need to change shoes to a model that has less correction for over pronation. And even though at the beginning I felt 8K could be too much, I only feel that in the pushing of the support blocks in my shoes and not in the amount of energy I have left.
Which means, I feel good!
And then opening Strava to see that I have run 3 personal bests. How about that. 😀
It was great Faroese running weather (joking, it was just raining), so I went running with a Faroese friend. I really wanted to run on the hill, but decided against it because I think the climb up could be too slippery because of the rain. We did a fun run and talked for just about all of the distance. I really enjoyed it today. I did find that I have a harder time keeping my fist on my left hand though. I am slightly distracted when talking. :), Avg Cadence:78
(And once again it seems Strava doesn’t want to import the map…)
Heading out to Mosbach tomorrow, so I decided to do a more extensive run this morning. Also, wanted to do 7K as I did almost 6K on my last interval run. It went well. My leg seems stable, though I am now considering going to try new shoes and have them measured up better than before. Happy with my progress though. , Avg Cadence:80
Time was not my friend on this run as we have a busy day ahead. So I decided to do a quick 3K. And quick it was. I am now tired, but my heart rate is going down quick again, so perhaps I can do more with a little time in between. Best thing about today was the sun though. It’s been a while since I’ve gone for a run without my jacket and with the sun coming up in a blue sky. Really enjoyed this run. , Avg Cadence:84
This morning I decided to add another interval to my training because I felt I might be able to make it. The result was more of the same. I felt my left leg a little when I started and still felt it the same when I was done. So, no surprise or reason not to there.
In general it felt alright. I started off fast, then slowly dropped pace, the wind against me from my turning point not helping that. But heart rates came down decently during recovery, so I am pretty happy. , Avg Cadence:76
Ok, so I dropped a couple of days on my running. And I wasn’t quite sure about today. More psychological than anything. When I started off, I felt my upper left leg, but the feeling remained stable as I did the 6K. Nothing to worry about then.
My physiotherapist was very happy with my progress. I need to keep up doing my exercises and we’re going to do a call in four weeks instead of a visit. Happy about that. , Avg Cadence:78
I didn’t have much time this morning as I need to go see my physiotherapist at 10. So I decided to do a quick 3K without intervals and see what that would result in. I felt like I gave it all, only to recover quickly as I type this. I guess I could have pushed harder. Having said that, I do feel my left upper leg, so perhaps this was enough. ;), Avg Cadence:82
